This week on NPR an article appeared regarding the science of “dieting for weight loss”. In a nutshell, a large meta-analysis shows that any popular diet you might choose will result in weight loss. Meanwhile, obesity rates in the US continue to climb, with 2 states now having obesity rates above 35% of the population. As we move into the season of harvest, wherein we reap what we sow, can we work our way backwards from where we are…overfed and undernourished…to the seeds our culture planted?
